Poll: what’s your attitude to taking a natural body detox?

Have you tried detoxing and become an instant convert or written it off as the worst experience of your life? Many people become aware of detoxing through documentary programs on TV, and most of these programs are made with a slant towards either believing in the detox process or skepicism. It’s the same with books. You can read about a person’s personal experience with a detox diet and beoome a believer or a skeptic through reading about one person’s experience. Go down to the form at the bottom of the page and leave your comment telling us about how you feel towards the detoxing experience.

i did the lemon detox diet for a week and hated it for the first 2 days. i missed drinking coffee, but kept going because i wanted to get rid of toxins. as a bonus i lost 4 kilos. i found it difficult to get the will power every day to do the diet especially when i had to cook for the whole family. i will most probably do it again in 6 months though as i felt good after i did it.

I did a cleanse with beets, kale, fruit – especially bananas and blueberries mixed with crushed ice to drink. For protein I grazed on almonds. I also juiced wheat grass. In spite of the veggies giving me diarrheoa, I came out feeling refreshed. I’d like to try it again when I have the money.

I have cleansed many times. I do it twice a year mostly. The book I using is called Staying Healthy with the Seasons by Elson M. Haas. I enjoy it because I feel like it resets my system so I’m okay for another 6 months. I do it in the springtime quite seriously and then in the fall as a “just in case” kind of thing. My husband and I do it together, mixing it with three balancing diets that are more to do with Chinese Medicine. The diets, an anti-phlegm, an anti-inflammation and an antinervousness diets) are what we do as we get off the detox diet. Those diets come from someone named Letha Hadady, D.Ac.

Detox diets are essentially fakes. Your body has its own detox system. It is made up of organs like the liver and kidneys. If you stop putting junk into your system your body will cleanse itself.

Well, in my case i have a very positive front in regard to detoxification. You can also consult few good health centers like Fresh Start in Vancouver, i have personally taken their 5 days plan & i really got a change in my health. Their packages are also very nominal as compared to others & you will also enjoy the place, ocean beach, its natural beauty, luxurious accomodation, in short everything. Hope that helps you:)
